My areas of scholarship are the following:

• educational technology and media in teaching and learning;

• media, technology, and emerging forms of literacy;
• open education (open content, open publishing, open teaching);
• social and democratic media;
• open & networked learning;
• technology and social justice, technology to promote a better society; and,
• Internet safety, digital citizenship, cyberbullying and digital ethics.

The following section will outline my academic publications, research projects, grants, and other research-based activities.
